@ErikFb4da- thanks, I use to do some leather tool work when I was much younger but with retirement coming I thought it could be fun and maybe do a few things for people and make a buck or two. The headcover took me a couple of weekends to do it. It was fun getting back into my it. Would rather be playing some golf but has been way too hot for me!
@ErikFb4da- yep, I did it! Remember those basket weaving classes you took in college? Well I took a couple of classes from a world class guy who did saddles and the like professionally and taught classes at night at the community college. So I took several classes from him. Had some fun and learned a little about tooling from him.
@GeneMf961That's a great skill to have! My next project is figuring out how to shine up old clubs back to new. I have a set of Ping Eye 2 irons and I do like them so when the winter rolls in that's what I'll be doing.
@ErikFb4da- that will be fun as well, cleaning up the old Ping Eye 2s. Wife had a set till we got new clubs. She was playing a men's orange set. She played very well with them but she needed something lighter for her now. The secret will be in finding a good metal polish that won't hurt the finish but will clean them up.
@GeneMf961 Man I don't know how I missed that. Awesome work on the cover. That is a one of one right there. Nice skill set to have. It could lead to something for us that may want a custom cover. Have you thought of making them available for purchase by your friends here on the community?
