I purchased this club in like new condition and have only used it in a couple scrambles and the odd range session. The only blemish is some stubborn tee marks on the face. Looking to get $200 shipped to your door. Not really in the market for any trades, but I could be tempted by an animal style epic head or unique #9 or #8 putter.
Would love to have the club speed to hit something like this. @RickM surprised you have yours set at 11...I thought you had a really aggressive swing. I'm by no means aggressive or fast but have found on my SkyTrak that my best results are when I set mine to 8. I think that may have more to do with the higher spinning shaft I'm using though. Another reason I'm looking forward to being properly fit.
I do have a pretty aggressive swing but it's been tough to find a shaft that gives me the launch I need/want. I moved my 9 up to 11 and hit up on it, haha. This new shaft should let me go back to 9. Loft is good. I read that Justin Thomas hits a 10.5 so I don't feel too bad
@RickM you are correct loft is good. We all swing differently so need different settings to maximize performance. I doubt I have any business hitting at 8 but without a different shaft it is what it is at this point. My issue is I love lightweight shafts but the flip side of that is higher spin rates. Anyways no need to highjack this thread. Somebody buy this head from @Ice_Eph29.
@Ice_Eph29 What are the launch numbers compared to the standard XR16 Pro from what I read on it smash factor should be a little lower and spin should be slightly more spin, but if you have had it on a launch monitor what did you see, and what are your standard Clubhead speed and angle of attack? Just curious, because i have been looking to make this switch and am curious how it preforms compared to the XR16 Pro, because i would like to get even a little lower launch without changing my swing, and a little more spin would be nice too.
I've never actually had it on a launch monitor. My gamer is a GBB 9* with Aldila Rogue I/O. Swingspeed is in the 108-110 range but there is still a lot of baseball left in my swing. My drives are normally very high with too much spin. I've been known to spin my drives back a yard or so on the soft fairways here in FL. The XR16 LD definitely launched much lower and gave me a more ideal ball flight, but I lost too much forgiveness to make it my everyday driver. I have never hit the XR16 Pro, so I am not sure what the results of a direct comparison would be.
@Ice_Eph29 Awesome sounds good what your saying... do you have any idea what spin is doing, because the biggest thing for me is that i need a little more spin with a long distance driver. I have a 47.5 inch X Stiff shaft that i want to step and stick in an LD driver and blast away, but i know that I need to increase spin numbers to max out launch. I launch my 8* XR16 Pro at 14 - 15* at around 180 mph ball speed and 1900 rpms so if i could bring that down to around 11* and get up to 2100 - 2200 rpms would be perfect for me. What do you think spin is doing with that driver head?
