Just saw a promo video on EPIC irons via YouTube subscription..... Oh. My. God. I know every company says every year that THIS driver/iron/wedge/putter/ball/shoe/hat/glove/tee is THE one you HAVE to OWN in order to improve your game.
Seriously? These irons are insane. The tech in them to improve ANYONE'S game from high handicap to pro is unbelieveable. The materials management, manufacturing processes, and engineering skills that have been blended in order to bring this from the drawing board to a players hands really can't be overstated.
I joined the site to learn about Callaway products, and to see quite frankly if they could improve my game. I would never have called myself a 'Callaway guy' previously. In fact, my bag is a mix of different brands right now, and yes Callaway is in there.
Product developments in 2017 like the various EPIC products, ChromeSoft, and Odyssey however are seriously making me consider playing a single brand bag. That's something I've NEVER considered doing in the 40 years I've played golf. Like many people, I felt one company made the best driver, another the best iron, still another for wedges or putters. Of course being a mid handicapper, the ball was always what's on sale, since I'll lose them anyway. (lol)
Now? I just want to have fun on the course. Long as I can manage and straight is fun. Effective pitches and chips that get close is fun. Making the occasional birdie with a quality putter? REALLY fun. As I've tried more product, my game has indeed improved.
So, I'm looking forward to trying these clubs when they come to my nearest golf store. Feel free to put me on a tester list though if you decide to throw some sets out there early for us to try. I don't know anyone who couldn't use a more forgiving approach game, or more Par 3 greens in regulation to help their scorecard!
Just review the utube sites and this iron has peeked my interest. I know the cost is out of site but I want to try this club and do the evual. I hope to get see one live on Friday and my local rep is meeting me and said he would have a 7 iron to show me.
Sign me up for the testing!!!!!!!!!!!
Sign me up too!
Time to start saving that spare change. That's how I get all my fun stuff if it's not a "business" expense. Buy something in cash, keep the change in a jar. After a year or two, or three for these, I usually have enough for something good. And she can't complain because I bought it with spare change.
OH! I agree how we need to sell this the 'wife's!! I have started already and I have not had in my hands yet. The Promo feeds just sell it. If these clubs live to the hype and Hocher's comments I will have to sell and sell somem ore so that my wife will allow me to pull the trigger on this purchase and get them fitted.
Can't wait to hit them and compare them to my APEX irons I love so much.
