Did this create a big gap between your pitching wedge and apporach/sand wedge? Do they feel more like blades or game improvement irons on contact?
I am really intrigued by the Epic irons. Currently playing Taylormade M2’s. I recently switched drivers to Callaway XR from Taylormade and have had impressive gains in both distance and consistency. I’m wondering if switching irons may yield similar results. I hope to test the Epic soon.
Sorry, I'm just not that impressed with the epic line of irons- I still can't find a club that outperforms my Steelhead XR irons in terms of consistancy, feel, and distance.
I would love to change to better technology that results in better shots, but I haven't found that yet.
Great Review @JBarton! Thanks for the thoroughness and details...now curious.
I just tried the new X Forged '18 irons and wondering if I should wait until the Epic Pro come out to compare. What is your opinion on comparisons of the X Forged and the Epic Pro?
@jimm9fa7, with the new format I don't see the time stamp when I posted on this topic but it must have been last summer. I ordered a Rogue 3 hybrid back in February with the Aldila Synergy 50 lite shaft and just loved the distance and accuracy I got out of the club. I traded in my XR's for the Rogue AW - 6 with the Aldila Synergy 50 lite shaft ($12.50 extra) and they are wonderful. I believe this shaft in the Rogue X is standard . So I kind of combined the standard Rogue head with the Rogue X shaft. Works great for my swing.
