Today was our last for the year tourney. Started off fantastic, parring the first three holes, the on the fourth, a long par 5. Very good drive, three wood, pitching wedge, with a four foot putt for a natural bird, and then I get a stroke on this hole, so it was an eagle for me, winning a skin for the hole! Unfortunately, I lost my focus after that and did ok but didn't do as well after that. Still had a good day on the golf course.
Our club's MGA had their last tournament last week. The format was a scramble and the men and women's UALR golf team joined us. One college player on each 4 man team. The scores were much lower than usual due to a Division I golf player being a teammate. My team came in third with a score of 60 (We lost a card off with the 2'nd place team) and the winning team shot 54. If you have not watched a college golfer play you are really missing out on watching really good golf close up. Afterwards we had our wives join us in a end of year banquet that was a lot of fun. The next MGA event will not take place until next March.
