In other words I personally get more for my money! ;-)
It is a little strange to think about. We spend all this money on top notch equipment, drive to the course and pay green fees and spend 4-5 hours all in order to swing as few times as possible. We love what we are doing and want to play as many rounds as possible but it's still strange compared to other sports.
Agree with the rest of the guys. Play as many rounds as possible in as few strokes as possible. I talked to a guy yesterday after my round. He asked me if I played a full round. I said 'Of course.' He asked me how long it took. I said about 4 1/2 hours. He said he had also played 4 1/2 hours, but they only played 12 holes and quit. Must have been a bunch of real slow groups behind us. I still don't understand quitting. I feel cheated if I tee off and don't get to complete a full 18 holes.
@rlloyd IMHO the satisfaction from the lower score is well worth the increased cost per stroke. Already paid for my PM pass (great deal for the muni's here in Albuquerque) after 18 weekend rounds so the rest of my rounds until the end of next January are only $12.50 weekend/$10 weekday. Cost for a 78 on the weekend is $.16 and $.128 during the week.
