I see that Paige Spiranac ... the attractive. bubbly wonder woman with a million instagram followers, fled the green grass of Callaway for the dark side ... pxg.
I admired Callaway for signing her as brand ambassador for a larger social media presence, and they supported her. Her swing improved over the last few years as well as her social exposure on Callaway.
Callaway helped developed that talent ... too bad she left for the dark side, but change often works well. What's ironic is that she is involved in an anti-bullying campaign and then signs with a guy who many consider a bully. Weird, given her public and warm personality.
Wish her well. Go Callaway ... let's start the hunt for the next brand Ambassador.
Paige initially had my interest for the budding golf professional and obvious good posture.
However, I think Amanda has done more for callaway's social media.
I wish Paige well in her new role and PXG eye candy and of course budding professional golfer.
What little bit I do with social media does make for a bunch of respect for Paige and others that have millions of followers, it takes alot of time to make content.
I read that she was going to PXG...I figured it was for more money. Money always talks…loyalty always takes the backseat. I wish her well. I am with @jimm9fa7 I think Amanda is going to be the next big thing! I love when she's on tv. She has a great personality and you can tell she is absoulutely genuine!
I heard that it costs a pxg customer $10k for a round with their "ambassador." My guess is that includes a fitting and some clubs but I haven't looked at it. If so, Paige will be busy.
Agree on Amanda ... informative, attractive and personality plus.
After thought, I think she added little to Callaway recently. Maybe it was a good move for both. Yes, the initial signing made some news and I thought Callaway was great to sign her and see what she could bring to the table in terms of social media and brand exposure. But I don't know if they had enough media events to use her sufficiently.
From what I hear at pxg, she will do more entertaining of customers during their custom fitting vacations - playing golf with their $$$ customers. Not a bad gig, if that's what it is, but I'd think it would turn into a job after a while - but maybe she is a real people person, she's young, but maybe that's the limit of her game ... sort of like Anna Rawson - who is also pxg. I assume both are excellent players - but like any pro tour, the LPGA is an entirely higher level of consistency and excellence.
