The only argument would be the placement of no's 1 and 2. Currently I would still put Jack in front of Tiger by a few % points just do to the 4 additional majors. The equipment argument was there for Jack too, as his was better than his predecessors. IMO, the way you could answer that question is to take a course that was played by the past greats and put it in as close to conditions of that time as possible. Green speeds much slower etc... then pull sets of clubs and balls from that era and let some of today's greats play and see how they compare. Would make for a compelling off season exhibition and must see TV event.
