Hey Team Callaway,
I am pretty sure there isn’t one golfer on this earth that doesn’t love to stiff an iron shot to 5 feet!
Two weeks ago, we introduced the new Rogue Irons and we need some enthusiastic community testers to confirm how awesome they are.
There are 3 models… The Rogue Irons, Rogue Pro, and Rogue X Irons (Warning - these things are super long).
If you are interested in being the first to test and review a set of the new Rogue Irons, hit the link below!
Just got my Rogue X 4 hybrid with same shaft as my epic hybrid, Kuro kage black stiff, and have a tee time Sunday and will let everyone know what I think between the 2.
I like the Rogue X at setup a little more with a little more open look and feel with also a little bit bigger club head. I will say that I also may need to compare it to the epic 3 as the Rogue 4 is 20 degree head and Epic 4 head is 23 degrees to be a more fair comparison.
@PC98 let us know how they play. I'm sure curious. Although I have to be honest, right now I'm more interested in the hybrids....
So I hit my Rogue X hybrid this weekend. As previously stated it has the same stiff kuro kage shaft as my epic hybrid and fairways. I gotta say I loved it! My natural swing tends to hit a draw and when I struggle it is a hook. I tried the XR hybrids first and would hook them constantly. The epic hybrid seemed to be better for my game than the XR’s but didn’t seem to get the performance I felt I was getting from my epic sub zero fairways and sub zero driver. The Rogue X has a little bigger hybrid head and at rest truly looks neutral to almost open a little to me. Really fits my preference at address. Hitting off the ground was an easy launch and it’s flight was a little higher than my epic it appeared to me but solid, and straight without any left to right turnover.(sound appeared really close to epic here). Off a tee, I did turn it over a little but again, really solid. I will point out that I felt like I nutted this club every time I picked it up...nice feeling mentally! We noticed the sound off a tee had a “pingish” sound to it that was not really noticeable off the turf. The sound was noticeable enough that one of my playing partners called it out that “it really sings off the tee but not in a bad way.”
Overall opinion for me is very happy with results:
Very solid feel
Really tight dispersion (which was a major factor I was looking for)
Distance in comparison to epic was pretty close within 5 yards from my experience.
looks great at address of the ball
l know this was long but I hope this is helpful for others and why this was a good choice a good result for me in a club.
