I just have to say that Callaway stepped up big time! I was on an annual 5 day golf trip to Hilton Head last week and ended up breaking my 2 yr old Big Bertha APW Driver. I hit it on the sweet spot on the 2nd hole on day 2 and the ball still actually carried about 220 but the face of the head caved in on itself sending a “shock-wave” crack from the toe to the heel. I have NEVER heard or seen this happen before and neither had anyone in my group of 12. I am a 6.1 HC with a swing speed of about 120 but the last thing I ever anticipated was my club to beak in this manner. I called Callaway that night and explained and before I even had to dive into the details they were already offering a new replacement. Every guy on in my group was amazed with the customer service and hopefully Callaway will gain a few customers. I received my new driver today and was even more pleasantly surprised with an upgrade. Thank you Callaway and you have now locked me into a lifer with you (BTW - I love my X2 Hot Pro irons). Thanks again and I understand SH$% happens but you’re proactive response was a fantastic example of superior customer service - cheers!
I had a similar situation happen to me about 24 years ago involving the original Big Bertha driver. My driver got a rattle probably from a piece of epoxy coming loose and Callaway sent me a new replacement via over night express mail. That made me a Callaway fan for life.
@CwbagsThat is awesome. I had the same encounter last year (twice). The bottom of my Epic driver cracked, replaced no issue, the mesh face of my white hot putter came off (was an older model not made any more) replaced with a brand new version. Callaway has the best customer service.
@Cwbags I haven’t had a customer service issue in over 10 years. The one I had was similar in nature to yours. With the Hawkeye VFT driver. Replaced immediately by customer service. I became a fan for life, and it’s only gotten better.
