I recently bought the steelhead X-ray pro irons. They are constructed with the recoil shaft regular flex. Here is my delema...... I am usually very accurate and confident from 150 yards in. I can't
remember the last time I miss hit a 8 iron down. BUT..... since getting my new clubs I have actually hit a few shots straight off the toe and literally 90 degrees from the target ..... I was shocked to say the least..... I am miss hitting these irons more than I should be. Could it be the shaft is too light? Any other thoughts?
Signed my confidence is shaken........
Definitely not the shaft. The fact that the Steelhead XR Pro has a slightly smaller head and a bit less offset may alter the way your eye sees the club at setup, but just give it a little time, your confidence will return with this club.
