Hi everyone, After a long fitting process it turns out the Project X LZ 6.0 is the shaft for me. Problem is my Callaway Apex CF16 irons are .370 but the LZ shaft only comes in .355 tip. Has anyone used the shimming process and do you recommend I give thias a try or look for another shaft that is just a .370.
IF you are a club builder then I suggest using the brass shims that can be had from golfworks or that suppliers and ask for the 355 to 370 shim it should be about 1/2 in length as it only covers the actual taper part of the shaft.
contrary to popular belief. dont be afraid to use the epoxy.
I believe the apex has a should in the hosel so ask for collared ferrules too.
