Recently ordered and received the following:
Rogue 9 Degree SUB ZERO Driver with Aldila Rogue Max 75 Shaft in X
Rogue 15 and 19 Fairway (NOT SUB ZERO) with Aldila Rogue Max 85 Shaft in X
The driver came with a 2g weight in the front and a 5g weight in the back (not the standard 14g).
The 3 and 5 woods each came with a 2g weight in the back.
Questions - I assume the lighter weight in the back of the Driver is a swing weight adjustment. Does anyone else have a 75G shaft in their driver? If so, what weights came in it?
Secondly, whats the standard weight in the non sub zero fairway woods?
@bhboren I don't have a 75g shaft or a Sub Zero but you are correct on the weight size being related to swing weight adjustment. Shaft length also plays into that. On my standard Rogue driver I had a substantially heavier 14g weight installed when it was delivered instead of the normal 5g weight. I found the 14g too much so I ordered a few different size weights from Billy Bob's and tried them all until I found what I liked.
Thanks for the reply. I ordered standard shaft lenghts in the driver and fairway woods. I was hoping to hear if anyone else can comment on what weights came with any other sub zero drivers with 70-75g driver shafts.
From the article below, a 9g shaft increase (similar to what my shaft is) would only equal a 1 swing weight point increase. Say D4 to D5. To counteract that 1 point increase, it sounds like one would want to reduce the head by 2 grams to get it back to D4.
Cool. Looking forward to some feedback. A 2g less weight would have meant putting a 12g weight in the back, not a 5g.
Pretty sure Callaway will send me whatever weight I ask them for, just trying to figure it out and don't have a swing weight scale at home.
@bhboren 9g would be 3 swing weight points so the 5g weight would be correct.
