I had this club built with a black hzdrus shaft but the lie is too upright. I recieved it yesterday and I am hoping it can be bent a degree or two as I play 2 flat on my irons and a little flatter on a couple wedges. Just trying to get some information before I go back to my fitter.
Thanks for the help!
@GJCIV Highly unlikely the lie can be adjusted after purchase. Way too much stress on the base of the hosel. I agree that if you know you need a flatter lie than normal you should order the club with the flatter lie.
So...verdict is that it can be bent. However, most fitters don't seem interested in doing it/don't know how/don't have the right equipment. They're worried they'll break it. Best option is sending it back to callaway for them to fix and send back. Thanks for the help.
Hello GJCIV, essentially you are correct here. The Apex hybrid can be bent, however the equipment required to bend a hybrid successfully and without damage can be expensive. This is why you won't find many fitters or shops that provide that service, and even then they might be reluctant to bend the club much more than a degree. I would agree that your best option is to send the club back in to Callaway through your fitter to have it bent if that is what you were fit for originally.
