Just a quick follow up to this thread to close it out. I ended up finding the Epic on Ebay through CallawayPreOwned for $225 - so it was too good to pass up. They didn't list what shaft it was going to have - but it ended up being the HZRDUS T800 55.... which was the one I was most interested in.
My two way miss is now gone! Timing and responsiveness seems much better and I'm able to work the ball easier. It's a slightly lower launching shaft. It may not be quite as accurate as my Ping driver(s) - but distance is good and I'm rarely ever off the fairway anyway no matter what driver I use.
@Caligal Glad you found a shaft that works well. Good luck with it!
@Caligal, sounds like you got it going on. A lot of golfers underestimate how important it is to keep the ball in the short grass.
I would say to go to the Pro Shop and just ask if you can demo a couple of the shafts off the fitting cart. Just to see ask if there is something with a low to mid kick point. To try. Every club I have ever played at have let me demo shafts off the cart. For a whole year once a buddy of mine used a demo driver everytime he went to the club haha. Good luck with the search. I would advise you to get a real shaft fitting though it is the best money you can spend on your driver. You can get everything dialed in for most yardage the ball flight you want, the right spin numbers. Best thing to optomize all of the launch charictoristics

Thanks, but I think you didn't read anything in this thread at all perhaps? Already solved. :-)
