So, some how with all the club trading I do I've ended up with a t800 65g S Flex Driver shaft. I would like to trim it down to fit an Epic 3 wood head.
I saw another Topic on this and I just want to confirm that I'm doing this right.
From what I've read the Driver shafts and the fairway shafts are the same only trimmed differently.
Are the Driver shafts tip trimmed at all before the adapter is installed from the factory?
How much would I need to tip trim the shaft before I did the butt trim for playing length?
@slmoore83 Technically there are fairway wood shafts made for fairway wood heads. Typically they are about 10 grams heavier and have a different profile.
However, some popularity has risen this year to put a lighter shaft in the FW to hepl get the ball in the air.
If you want to do this I suggest trimming the shaft about an inch and then cut to desired length.
