That's next week, Wednesday August 23rd at 2PM Eastern on Sirius XM PGA Tour Radio!
Due to work schedule I won't be able to call in but I've waiting to ask Nate and AJ a question about a trend we've been seeing on tour with guys like Phil and Wesley Bryan going with epic/epic pro irons in the 3 & 4 iron slots. Usually most amateurs/weekend golfers are told hybrids would be a better option due to ease and forgiveness in the design of hybrids over long irons but is this a trend that might benefit some of us as well? Could that tech that Doc Alan Hocknell designed in the epic irons be just as forgiving as hybrids for amatuers who struggle with their current long iron/hybrid set up?
Will Callaway be offering the new Project X EvenFlow shafts as a custom option when they are released? I have your Epic driver With the LZ50 shaft and Epic irons with the LZ95 shafts. I am looking to get your Epic hybrid and would like get it with a shaft with close to the same feel as the LZ shafts. The EvenFlow Blue appears to be a good match to what I am looking for.
A couple of questions to get the well primed:
1. If I go with a split set of Apex and Apex Pro, what is the best way to decide where to split them and due to the distance differences between the sets, how do I go about gapping correctly?
2. Is there anything esle to consider when I start changing the loft on my Epic (does increasing the loft make it more draw biased)?
3. How do I decide between a forged or a milled wedge?
4. When is the Fitting Room going to do a road show like the Epic did??????
Looking to fill a spot between my 5 wood at 18* and 5 Iron at 24*. Is there a certain type of swinger (sweeper vs.digger) or advantages/disadvantages of using a 7 wood at 21* vs a Hybrid in the same loft?
I'm assuming that the majority of fittings take place inside against the projector screen. I realize that all the data generated from the inside bay is useful but then again you are hitting off of mats.
I would think getting fit on a range would be a far more effective way of accurately adjusting a person's club. Is this an incorrect statement?
What's up gents...
