Not sure if this is the proper section to post in or not. But I ordered a set of Callaway X series N416 irons, I finally got around to making a trip to the range on Saturday and noticed my distance and flight were not what they were with my 845s. They weren't going as far and not flying as high club for club, my question is if I got the loft and lie of the N416's adjusted to what the loft and lie of the 845s are would that help with this issue?
Do they have the same shaft? Do you know what the loft differences are? I can’t image making the new clubs a weaker loft will add distance or making the new clubs stronger lofted will add height. But if it’s a poor fitting shaft for you, the shaft can control ball launch and distance. For myself if I use a light weight steel shaft or too light of a flex my ball flight is way too high and can have too much spin or a nasty draw.
